After having their church targeted by vandals, the community of Arcola has had yet another incident with one of their community centers.

This time, the local rink was subject to a break-in on Friday night.

Carlyle RCMP Detachment Commander Dallyn Holstrom details what went down.

"There was a break-in at Arcola rink on the night of the 19th," said Holstrom, "Happened at night, several doors were pried open and some money and alcohol were taken, so there was lots of damage to the building and again some money out of coke machines, and just some alcohol as well that was taken from various places around the rink."

Holstrom says that while it is possible that the rink and church incidents are linked, but they have nothing to connect the two incidents yet.

He also indicated that there may be more coming on the case, as forensics may shed more light on the situation.

"This whole scene was processed," said Holstrom, "A couple of fingerprints were lifted as well that we're waiting to hear back from on whether they can be linked to any persons. We had forensic identification services in there processing the entire scene."

Holstrom says that the Carlyle area also had cabin break-ins, specifically near the White Bear and Stoughton areas, but those are also unable to be linked to any other incidents.
