Bienfait Minor Hockey is hosting Hockey Day in Bienfait on Sunday in support of Kolby Fleury's family, with all door entry fees going to support his two young children.

Fleury was a familiar face at the Bienfait Arena as he coached his cousins' teams over the years. He also was not shy about lending a hand at the arena wherever needed. Not only a coach, but Fleury played in the Big 6 Hockey League as part of the Midale Mustangs and the Oxbow Huskies, often at the Bienfait Arena.

“Let’s pack our barn on March 10 and do what Bienfait does best by supporting our local hockey family,” said the organizers of the event.

They added that Fleury was well-known and liked by so many, whether it was from hockey, ball, or Weldon school. He was always ready to support the kids.

Bienfait Minor Hockey said they welcome all family, friends and fans to attend with noisemakers to cheer on all of the teams. These are the last home games of the season before the U11 and U9’s head off to league playoffs.

There are four games on the roster for the event:

10:00am U9 vs Wawota

11:30am U7 vs Lampman

1:00pm U11 vs Lampman

2:45pm U9 vs Redvers

All door fees from the Hockey Day in Bienfait will go directly to his children, Jacoby and Robi. Donations can also be made via e-transfer to Jacobyrobitrustfund@hotmail.com
