The Estevan Bruins mounted another third period comeback, but it wasn't enough on Thursday night as the Bruins wound up losing 3-2 in a shootout to the visiting La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Trailing 2-1 in the dying minutes, Olivier Pouliot was able to find the puck at the goal mouth after a wild scramble and lift it past Ice Wolves goaltender Xavier Cannon to tie the game and force overtime.

The Bruins killed off a too many men penalty in overtime and appeared to have momentum heading into the shootout.

But Xavier Cannon was able to stop all three Bruins shooters and Ice Wolves captain Nolan Doell was able to beat Bruins goaltender Boston Bilous.

The Ice Wolves snapped a 5-game losing streak with the win.

Estevan ends up going 3-1-1 on their homestand and will play their next four on the road, beginning with a date with the Melville Millionaires this Saturday night.
