A 22-year-old man is facing drug-trafficking charges after a search warrant was carried out Friday, December 2 at a residence in Estevan.

Connor Rod was arrested without incident after a search resulted in what the Estevan Police Service said was an estimated $45,000 in cocaine and about $9,000 in Canadian currency.

The search warrant executed by the Joint Tactical Support Team was the result of an investigation into drug trafficking, and was authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Rod has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000.
