EPS dealt with fifty-three calls for service over the weekend. Seventeen people were issued traffic tickets for violations under the Traffic Safety Act.  

A 34-year-old Estevan man was charged with driving while impaired, driving while suspended and was also issued a ticket for having/consuming open alcohol in the vehicle. After the police were called to a multi-vehicle collision in the city center. He was released and will speak to those charges at a later date.

Police responded to two reports of possible impaired drivers. The first vehicle was located; however, no signs of impairment were cited. The second vehicle was not located.

EPS conducted a traffic stop where the driver refused to provide the officer with his driver’s license. He was arrested for resisting/obstructing a police officer and received a traffic ticket for the violation which initiated the traffic stop. He will speak to those charges at a later date.

A 27-year-old Estevan man was charged for failing to comply with his release conditions.

The police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on the East side of the city. Members of EPS were able mediate the situation.

Police received a report of harassment. The subject of complaint was identified, and charges are pending.
