It is a chance for local citizens to rediscover what Estevan has to offer.

The Estevan Board of Trade, Tourism and Commerce will be releasing their tourism passports thsi weekend. The passports have a number of events and tourist attractions that will be in the Estevan this summer. Every event that you attend you will collect a sticker. Once you have filled your passport you can turn it in to the Estevan Board of Tourism Trade and Commerce.

Marketing Coordinator Kevin D'Souza explains these passports are meant not only for tourists, but for local citizens as well. "Really want people from within the community get a sense of what the community as to offer and then they can become ambassadors for the community." D'Souza adds this is a great opportunity for people in Estevan to check out some of the events that haven't seen before.  

Some of the events on the passport that are listed on the passport include all of the Motorsport races which get underway this weekend. The Souris Valley Theatre, tours of Shand Greenhouse and Boundary Dam, and much more.

There will be a draw at the end of the summer with all of the completed passports with a grand prize of a thousand dollars worth of gas from CO-OP. There is also a surround stereo system from Audio Video Unlimited.

You can pick up your passports at the Tourism Information Booth and at the Estevan Board Trade Tourism and Commerce.
