In their daily COVID-19 update yesterday afternoon the Saskatchewan Health Authority initially reported nine new cases of the virus.

And then an outbreak was declared in 2 Hutterite communities in the southwest. Both are in the R.M. of Maple Creek.

Two members of a rural household tested positive last week, and yesterday evening the SHA announced 14 new confirmed cases were verified.

The SHA confirmed those 14 additional cases were linked to the colonies.

In last night's release from the SHA, they said they're doing contact tracing and active case tracing in targetted areas in the R.M. They're looking into cases for possible interprovincial travel to Alberta as well.
