Environment Canada ended the fog advisory at 7:42 Friday morning.


Morning commuters could run into some visibility challenges when on the highways Friday.

"Fog has developed over many sections within the region bringing visibilities to near zero," said a fog advisory issued by Environment Canada. "The fog is expected to last until the mid to late morning."

As of 5 a.m., the Highway Hotline says visibility is reduced on Highway 33 between Stoughton and Regina.

"Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations," said the advisory. "If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop."
