In just under two days, Affinity Place will feature 16 of the best men's curling teams from around Saskatchewan at the 2018 Sasktel Tankard.

After years of preparation and planning, the first draw will take place on Wednesday, January 31st at 2:30 p.m. According to Curling Club Manager Pauline Ziehl-Grimsrud, everything is coming together.

"It's been three years of working to get this into our community and it's feeling good," said Grimsrud. "It's going to be awesome to watch curling here, there won't be a bad seat in the house. It's went in so well and we're ahead of schedule which is a great place to be. Since Thursday, we've really transformed this arena into a first rate curling venue and it looks so fresh and nice.

"We have more to do Tuesday and Wednesday but it's really coming together, the ice looks great and the ice makers are pleased with it. We have a great volunteer crew that is coming in and helping, they're putting in some pretty long days but their efforts definitely show on the ice today," Grimsrud concluded.
