With fluctuating temperatures, typical spring-like weather during February and March in southeast Saskatchewan, the Water Security Agency (WSA) has been adjusting the release outflow at Alameda Dam week-to-week.

But it now appears that the taps have been turned off.

As of March 24th, the WSA has stopped all releases at Alameda Dam and Alameda Reservoir as spring runoff has begun.

It was only a week ago on March 17th that the WSA increased the outflow from 5 metres cubed/second to 10 metres cubed/second, with the potential for it to increase more.

The first releases began in February and were first halted on March 1st.
