Yankees Win 7-5

Once again it was the deep ball that cost the Jays. And once again it came back to back.
Jorge Posada and Hideki Matsui hit back to back homeruns to lead the New York Yankees over the Jays by a score of 7-5. Both of those homers came in the bottom of the 8th inning.
The Jays had a solid start from Canadian Scott Richmond who went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs. Toronto also got a couple of homers from the newest blue birds. Edwin Encarnacion and Randy Ruiz went deep.
Encarnacion was acquired from Cinncinati in the Scott Rolen deal while Ruiz was called up from Las Vegas to take up the roster spot that was vacated by the departure of Alex Rios to the Chicago White Sox. Lyle Overbay had a solid day at the plate with 3 RBIs as well. The Jays and Yankees will finish off their series today with a matinee game that is slated to begin at 11:00. The Jays will then move on to Tampa Bay.
