Another school year starts Wednesday and that means more children on the streets.

In order to ensure a safe trip there and back each day, the Estevan Police Service is reminding children to use caution when crossing streets and be mindful of traffic. When travelling by bike, it's important to wear your helmet and travel on the right side of the road.

Sergeant Murray Cowen reminds motorists to observe the school zone speed limits between the hours of 8am and 5pm. During these hours, there will be increased patrols monitoring school areas.
