The Estevan Bears beat the Saskatoon Contacts 4-1 on the road Sunday, ending a six-game losing streak.

Tucker Buhay, Boston Harkness, Carter Onrait, and Carson Birnie scored for Estevan.

The penalty kill was huge for Estevan. The Buhay and Onrait goals were shorthanded, and Estevan killed off all six Saskatoon power plays.

Harkness scored on the man advantage, as Estevan went 1-for-9 on the power play.

Jackson Miller earned his second win of the season with 28 saves. Only Brody Scopik was able to put a puck by him for the Contacts.

Estevan also played Friday and Saturday on the road. They were on the wrong side of a 2-1 game against the Saskatoon Blazers Friday and a 3-2 battle with the Warman Wildcats Saturday.

Estevan is in 10th of 12 teams in the SMAAAHL at 6-14-5.

Their next games are Friday and Saturday in Yorkton against the 4-17-3 Maulers.
