The Village of Macoun will continue to be under a precautionary boil water advisory for the time being. Depressurization in the water plant led to a potential leak in the system, causing the advisory last Thursday.

Three water samples were sent out on Tuesday with three more to follow on Thursday. The Water Security Agency requires six clean samples before the water is once again safe to consume.

Village CAO Carmen Dod-Vicary shared they hope to know what the results are by Friday.
