February can be bitterly cold on the frozen plains of Saskatchewan. Nearing the end of winter, often the allure of fun outdoor activities subsides and people look indoors for comfort and warmth.

A great comfort available to many Canadians is found in books. Luckily here in Canada, access to books is readily available through our public library system regardless of how those books have been perceived by the anals of time.

February is a notable month in the literary world for a number of reasons. Freedom to read week, a time to highlight books that have been challenged in society takes place. It is also Aboriginal Story Telling Month.

Estevan Public Library Branch Manager Jason Redshaw joined the morning show to discuss books of all kinds and to also share some information on the library's upcoming silent art auction.
