The Estevan Bruins are going into the Christmas break on a winning note.

The Bruins walloped the Weyburn Red Wings 7-0 on Saturday night in Weyburn to improve to 6-0 against the Wings this year.

Kian Calder had four points, including a pair of goals in the third period, while Kade Runke also picked up two points. Mark Rumsey scored his league leading 27th goal of the year.

Goaltender Cam Hrdlicka picked up the win in net, his eighth victory of the season, and second shutout.

With the win, the Bruins clinch the Highway 39 Cup, having already won the season series with Weyburn.

The Bruins enter the Christmas break with a 24-7-1-1 record.

They'll host the Wings at Affinity Place on Dec. 30.
