For Estevan Lacrosse, it was a very busy weekend with a total of 5 games, a tournament, and a Tykes festival all in just two days.

Starting with the senior Lacrosse, they played on Saturday against the Saskatoon Brewers at Affinity Place, and for the Impact, they were unable to get anything going in the entire game. After three periods of play, they were down 22-3 and looking forward to trying to get back on the right track the next afternoon against another Saskatoon team, the SWAT.

In their game with the SWAT, the Impact faired better but not enough for the big win. They dropped the game 11-6 but scored first in both the 1st and 3rd periods.

In the two games, the Impact were lead by Ryan Cuzon, who only played in one of the two games but managed to put 3 goals past the goaltender and another assist.

During their second game, the intermissions even saw some Lacrosse being played as the Tykes came onto the court for their festival, where they played some mini-games against the teams from Weyburn without keeping track of the score.

Then, there was the Junior B Big Dogs. They were left with another big loss as well to Standing Buffalo who gave them a 22-3 loss as well. Out of the three goals the Big Dogs got, three of them came from Estevan Bruins Prospect Alex Von Spreckon.

Saturday, the Novice Voltz also got on the court against the Moose Jaw Mustangs, and they also end up having a tough go as they lost as well 8-5.

Finally, the 15U Voltz were out of town in Yorkton trying their hand at field Lacrosse for the first time. They played a total of four games, losing the first to the host Yorkton before getting a big 11-1 win over Kelvington on Saturday. Once Sunday rolled around, they end up with another two losses on the board, but according to the Estevan Voltz Facebook page, the learning experience was more valuable than anything. Not only had the players never played out on the field, but their coaches had never coached field Lacrosse up to that point either.
