9:30 a.m. SaskPower crews are locating the problem areas causing widespread outages. There's no estimated time of return yet for a lot of the outages in the southeast. The Crown said 10,000 customers are without power, thanks to a heavy buildup of frost.

8:13 a.m. A caller reported losing power around 7:45 a.m. in North Portal.

At this point, there has been no word from SaskPower on the full extent of the outages, the cause, or a timeframe for repairs. DiscoverEstevan has reached out to SaskPower.


7:08 a.m. Power has reportedly been out in Macoun and south of Midale since 5 a.m.

6:09 a.m. The DiscoverEstevan newsroom learned of a power outage in the southern part of town.

SaskPower has not announced an outage for Estevan.

The Crown corporation did tweet at 5:47 a.m. that power was restored for Carlyle, Manor, and surrounding areas. Though Frobisher, Alameda, Steelman, and Lampman are still listed as being without power on the SaskPower website.


5:37 a.m. SaskPower crews were dispatched shortly before 3 a.m. Friday to determine the cause of outages affecting a stretch of area in the southeast.

The Carlyle, Manor, Frobisher, Alameda, Steelman, and Lampman area is affected. Outages are also impacting people northwest of Weyburn, as you can see on the following graphic from SaskPower's website.
