Police believe reduced visibility might have contributed to a crash that happened on Highway 39 Tuesday morning, but they also feel the driver of a truck bears responsibility for the collision.

The Estevan Police Service reported that a truck was travelling west on Highway 39 and attempted to turn left onto Breeze Street. It then collided with a car that was travelling east.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries. The driver of the truck was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for failing to yield to an approaching vehicle when turning left.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed.
