Dwight "Fitz" Bramble, the City of Estevan's Economic Development Coordinator, is a forward thinking man. He's also a very busy man right about now, organizing not only the Trade, Transportation, and Technology Conference in Estevan next week, but also working to get Estevan into the running for the Smart Cities initiative.

If Estevan is a finalist for that, the city stands to gain $250,000. Win, and they earn $5 million. So Fitz's attention has been on that for a while, as well as the Triple-T event.

Dwight took some time out of his schedule to let us pick his brain about these two events, and we talked about everything from the future of the economy in Estevan, to trade corridors and self-driving trucks.
