Rackets were singing this past weekend at the Comp as the ECS badminton teams took on competitors in a home tournament.

"We ended up winning four of the five categories. We usually do really well, but this was a nice result for our school," stated Sheena Summers who, along with Kevin Daoust, fills the role of Head Coach.

"We placed quite a few seconds and thirds as well."

For the students, it's more than just a class commitment. Some compete in other clubs, while many of them play several different sports and so can transfer skills over.

This upcoming weekend, the ECS will host the District competition, with the top two teams advancing to Regionals in Whitewood, Sk. Play gets underway at 9:30 on Saturday.

First place in the Mixed Doubles went to John Sasi and Jean Rose Be.

Jonah Bachorcik & Kaiden Tuchsherer were first place of the Boys Doubles.

Rizen Rioferio took first place in the Boys Singles.

Ruth Pecson was first place in the Girls Singles.
