Students with the Estevan Comprehensive School, along with a few teachers keeping the dream alive with the Annual Car Show. It was founded by John Dyck who has long since retired, but his passion for vehicles and shining them up to show them off has not died in the least.

Devyn a teacher with Southeast Cornerstone covering Mechanics right now, told me of the happenings at the Car Show. "Essentially, I'm just the teacher who decided to take over and create the Car Show again. About 16 vehicles here today, a little bit smaller than last year, but any turn out is a good turn out. The amount of work that the kids have put into the vehicles and just coming out to do this, I'd say come down and see them all."

"How it works, we put it out a month ago to the kids to bring there cars down and to register their cars. We have a few vehicles from the Speedway, but mostly its the students cars who either they own them or their parents do. We do have some community members coming down with their vehicles too, which is always welcome. This is going to be the first of many, were trying to bring a good reputation back with the car show, its all in the name of John Dyck. He was one of the legends in auto mechanics here and were just trying to bring it back and continue it for years to come."

John Dyck on how he started the Car Show, "I just decided we would have one, and I put the word out to the students to bring the cars out."

And with his 1916 Model T-Ford with a 1956 Olds Mobile Engine, he was obviously the star of the show.

Amazing Show again this year ECS, keep up the great work and look forward to next year.
