The Estevan Police service executed a search warrant at a residence Sunday afternoon and found more than the legal number of marijuana plants.

The plants were seized and an Estevan man was charged with one count of cultivating, propagating, or harvesting more than four cannabis plants at once. Dave Sinclair with the EPS said the man had more than 15 plants. The defendant will appear in court in October.

The EPS assisted the Estevan RCMP with a stolen vehicle investigation as well. The vehicle was located in the city, and the driver was arrested. He provided a false name to police during the traffic stop, and was charged with obstruction on top of the theft.

And the EPS charged a 37-year-old woman from Regina with impaired driving, as she blew above the legal limit on Saturday after a traffic stop. She was released with a court date to come.
