Estevan SaskTel employees made a strong contribution to local charities in 2022.

The telecommunications company announced its yearly TelCare donations on Thursday. They showed that SaskTel and TelCare members in Estevan and the surrounding area donated a total of $5,250 to three charities in 2022: the Estevan Humane Society, the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, and the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.

"SaskTel employees continue to demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve through the TelCare program," said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. "I'd like to thank all SaskTel employees for the work they do every day, and for continuing to support those in need."

The Weyburn district donated a total of $4,350 to both the Weyburn Humane Society and the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.

Province wide, there was over $193,000 raised, with Regina and Saskatoon leading the way.

There were over 600 SaskTel employees across nine districts in Saskatchewan that donated to the fund in 2022.

SaskTel also matches 50 per cent of each donation.
