Municipal, Provincial, and Federal representatives were at City Hall yesterday to launch a new service that will make it easier to open a business in the southeast.

Estevan, the R.M. of Estevan, and Arcola are the latest jurisdictions to sign on to BizPal, an online initiative that helps entrepreneurs identify which permits and licences they require and how to obtain them.

Angela Schmidt, the Director of Competitiveness with Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, was present on behalf of Minister Maynard Sonntag, and says the service has already garnered international attention with people from as far away as Egypt logging on.

More than twenty-five jurisdictions in Saskatchewan provide the service, which can be accessed by visiting www.bizpal.gov.sk.ca.
