It really was a McHappy Day in Estevan yesterday as sales from McHappy Meals, McCafes and Big Macs all went to support the Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon.

"We had a very successful day," explained Chris Jenish, the owner/operator of the McDonald's in Estevan. "Our total came in at $3323.05."

"I would like to thank the VIPs that came into the store to work yesterday. Also a big thank you to our crew for the great job that they did. And again, thanking the community because they always show us great support for McHappy Day."

Many people came out to support the Ronald McDonald House.

"We were also honoured to have two representatives from the Ronald McDonald House that came and were onsite. And also, we were blessed with two families who had used the Ronald McDonald House. They came out to support us as well."

The Roanld McDonald House is a communal house that families can stay in while their children are receiving medical treatment in Saskatoon. It provides a less expensive option than a hotel and have staff and activities for children.

"Anything that the House receives from the McHappy Day is a big chunk of their budget allotment that they need to continue running the house successfully. So for them, they will be thrilled."

"Thank you to Estevan for supporting us. It's always a really big surprise and a shock when we get the totals see how the community has become involved to help us out. There aren't enough thank yous."
