The Calgary Flames announced Thursday that they signed Estevan-born Parker Bell to an entry-level contract.

Bell, who turns 20 on September 26, played 55 games with the Western Hockey League's Tri-City Americans last season, posting 25 goals and 39 assists for 64 points.

"It was probably the best phone call of my life," said Bell in a scrum interview posted to the Flames' X/Twitter account. "It's what I've worked hard for this last year, so yeah, really pumped."

The 6-foot-4 winger also played two games with the American Hockey League's Calgary Wranglers last season, logging an assist.

Bell was selected in the fifth round, 155 overall, in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

His two-way deal has a cap hit of $857,500.
