The Estevan Southern Plains Co-op held a fundraising barbecue on June 29th.

"Overall the event went very well, we had a lot of participation with people taking their time to come in for the barbecue and give a donation," stated Brian Enns, the General Manager of Southern Plains Co-op.

They raised a total of $1,000 from the event.

"The funds raised we are now providing to the Kinsmen Club of Estevan for their project. It's our pleasure to be able to participate in this great project they have done for the community." he explained.

The Estevan Kin-Club was very grateful for the funds that were raised, so they could put it towards one of their projects they are working on.

"It's great that the community came out to support this and that the Southern Plains Co-op put the event on for us, we really appreciate any funds raised in the community. The money will go to help the multi-purpose rink," shared Susan Colbow a Member of the Estevan Kin-Club.

"We would just like to thank the Southern Plains Co-op for everything they have done, it shows their support for the Kin-Club as well as the community."
