Four millimetres of rain was recorded in Estevan on Wednesday, as an afternoon of thunderstorms hit the region. No precipitation was recorded nearby in Weyburn, which was indicative of the month.

Weatherstats.ca, which uses data from Environment and Climate Change Canada, said 69.4 millimetres of precipitation fell in Estevan during May. That's more than most places received in the southern part of the province. 

Weyburn had 37.2, Regina had 37.1 (including 17.3 during a flood-inducing storm on Saturday), Moose Jaw had 16.9, Swift Current had 26.4, and Maple Creek had 46.
