RCMP in Saskatchewan are looking for a 50-year-old man that appeared to feign a medical crisis in an attempt to abduct a Good Samaritan.

Meadow Lake RCMP were called at 12:05 a.m. Saturday to a report of an attempted abduction.

Police say a motorist was driving south on Highway 4, about 40 kilometres south of the city, when they stopped to help a man lying on the road next to his truck.

The man grabbed the motorist's arm and mentioned he had a weapon while reaching into his pocket. The motorist got loose and drove away without any injuries.

Police say the suspect was described as a 50-year-old white man with a black beard and a mullet. He was wearing a red plaid shirt over a green shirt and had a black hat on.

The vehicle was described as an older-model blue Ford pickup truck with rust on the rear bumper.

You can contact the Meadow Lake RCMP at 306-236-2570 if you see the man or the vehicle, or have any other information that can help the investigation. You can also submit a tip anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
