The Sun Country Health Region is pleased to announce that thirty-six southeast students have been awarded bursaries for their pursuit of a career in health care.

According to Don Ehman, the Vice President of Human Resources, the program will ensure a trained and enthusiastic workforce for health care organizations in the future.

The health region increased its bursaries earlier this year to $5,000 per student for each year to a maximum of $20,000, in exchange for a return of service agreement.

The recipients are originally from communities all over the southeast and are pursuing disciplines that include nursing, speech language pathology, physical therapy, and radiation technology.
