The Estevan Bruins nearly made it to the Christmas break without losing a game in regulation on the road.

However that impressive streak ended Saturday at Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt, as the Bruins fell 4-1 to the Broncos.

Humboldt netminder Rayce Ramsey was the story of the night, as he made 39 saves and shut down the Bruins top snipers.

The game was tight throughout. The Bruins trailed 2-1 heading into the third period and pressed for the equalizer in the final frame, but Ramsey stood on his head. The Broncos would eventually add two empty netters.

Eric Pearce scored the only goal for Estevan in the second period.

That was the fourth and final meeting between the two clubs this season. Humboldt takes the season series 3-1.
