The Estevan Police Service aren’t yet naming the man that was taken into custody following a Friday-morning standoff on the 1200 block of 4th Street.

They are continuing to investigate alleged weapons offences and uttering of threats.

EPS reported on their website that one man remains in custody, and that another was released without charges.

Police said they blocked off access to 4th Street and the alley to its north Friday morning to isolate the people involved and protect the public.
