The Toronto Blue Jays got back in the win column Wednesday night thanks to a 7-2 victory over the New York Yankees.

Toronto would hop out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning, and thanks to a strong start by starter J.A Happ the Jays would hold on to that lead until the top of the 5th where the Yankees would tie the game. The good news for the Blue Jays is they would restore their lead in the bottom of the inning with a pair of runs.

After New York got back to within one the Jays would explode for four runs in the bottom of the 8th inning turning a close game into a blow out as Toronto walked away with a 7-2 win.

With the win the Jays improve to 4-5 on the season and will be looking for the series victory Thursday night as they send Marcus Stroman to the hill. First pitch is at 5:00pm.
