This year's Festival of Trees may look a little different again this year, but the spirit of Christmas is still alive and well.

The Estevan Market Mall is your Christmas Headquarters for the next nine days.

"Basically we have an opportunity to have all of our online auctions, our raffle, our kid's activities, and community events all in a centralized location here at the mall," said Breanne Van De Woestyne, the executive director of the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation. "We're really just recommending everyone come out, check out the trees, the auction prizes, and buy a couple raffle tickets."

All of the proceeds go towards the hospital and buying medical equipment.

Last year's festival was entirely virtual. This year, organizers have "met in the middle" with in-person activities at the mall but also with an online option for people as well.

Van De Woestyne said the event serves as a "kick off to Christmas for Estevan."

"There's so much excitement that comes around Festival of Trees time, and you can really get that sense of excitement when people come visit us. We're just excited to be back in our community, be back face-to-face, and to really just kick off the holiday season for Estevan."

The festival runs until Nov. 25.
