More than 8,000 students who needed to pay rent, or other bills have been unable to. Thanks to a computer glitch, the students, awaiting loan payments from the province, didn't get them last week.
The Ministry promises to deliver the cash no later than tomorrow and apologizes for any inconvenience. The Student Financial Assistance Branch will also reimburse students for any late payment charges imposed because of the error.
