Since their incarnation, Coffee Talks hosted by the Estevan Chamber of Commerce have had a goal of creating conversation and productivity amongst business owners and the general populous of the city to help keep things moving forward.

Things opened up with Wall giving away a copy of '13 Ways to Kill your Community' and began the conversation with the group around community stability.

From there it transitioned to the main topic of the talk which was change.

Executive Director of the Chamber, Jackie Wall hosted the event and spoke on the goals that they have ahead of each Coffee Talk.

"We really wanted to have a constructive conversation and initiate a change of optimistic attitude in Estevan."

Many people chimed in throughout the hour-long occasion including Roy Ludwig, Dwight Bramble, and city manager, Jeff Ward.

The central point of discussion and debate came in looking ahead for the city and spitballing ideas as to what can be done to boost the economy and drive people to want to move here.

Wall hopes to continue the conversations into the foreseeable future.

"It really gives an opportunity for people to get together and talk about, you know, 'what do we need to have a discussion about? What do We need to communicate about?' As long as we keep having people come out and we keep coming up with topics that need our attention, we will continue with Coffee Talk."

The next Coffee Talk topic has yet to be decided upon and the Chamber is open to suggestions.
