Maryfield, located east of Wowota is celebrating one hundred years as a town this weekend.

In lieu of it's birthday celebrations, they have a series of events planned for all ages. Friday's events include a dedication ceremonies in newly built Memory Lane Gardens, an afternoon tea along with an acapella concert, wiener roast and fireworks. And that is just the beginning.

Saturday features a pancake breakfast, parade at noon, an art exhibit, school reunion, supper and a horse pull followed by a dance featuring two local bands.

Sunday winds up the celebrations with brunch and a drama production, written and produced locally featuring the history of Maryfield.

Ward Fraiser, Administrator of Maryfield expects a good turn out this weekend and invites everyone to attend.
