Nursing Home Auxiliary Mother’s Day Tea and Bake sale bursts at the seams. The Estevan Nursing Home was packed with people of all ages to help support this great cause.

Rhonda Olver President of the Auxiliary was grinning ear to ear over the packed auditorium.

“This is an amazing turn out and people are happy to come and be apart of our day. This is about enhancing the residents lives, we have great family and staff support. Residents are purchasing things, we’ve got family and community and its amazing.”

When asked about what they are raising funds for this year, “We as an auxiliary have decided that our Peterson Room in the facility where many activities take place. We want to enhance the kitchen, get new cupboards and change the layout. Having a counter top that is wheelchair accessible for some of our residents.”

“We have a bake sale, with donations from family, staff and some auxiliary members. And even people from the community heard we are having a bake sale and gave a donation. People support our nursing home, they see we have good things going on here. The community cares about the people within our home, and its fantastic. Its great to have that support,” she added.
