The growing rate of packaged snacks and foods is causing the rate of obesity in children to increase also.

Barb Wright, public health nutritionist for the sun country health region explains that some of the ways children can stay active is through influence from parents and plenty of physical activity. Wright also suggests to pack a lunch with your child for school to ensure that they are getting a well balanced and healthy meal.
