Estevan Police Cheif Paul Ladouceur made a stop at Rock 106 on March 16, less than two days after Saskatchewan announced some new regulations for the impending legalization of marijuana, including age restriction.

Paul gave us his first impressions of the new rules and what they'll mean for the people of Estevan. He also talked about new ways to enforce the law and catch drug-impaired drivers, how the department is handling the switch over, and the biggest hurdles and successes of the EPS in dealing with the new cannabis laws so far.

Cannabis use is scheduled to become legal in August of 2018, though the date has been pushed back several times. We'll keep you up to date on any changes on Rock 106 and Discover Estevan.
