The Souris Valley Museum presented their Annual Pioneer Fun Day! The event was on Saturday, August 18th from 10 am to 2 pm, located on Highway 39 West.

This day included activities with a petting zoo of farm animals, butter and rope making, schoolhouse re-enactments, museum tours and much more. It was a great family event and it was able to take us right back into the historical time frame around our city.

Mark Veneziano, one of the amazing people in charge of the Pioneer Fun Days had this to say, "Its a day where families come out to the museum, to participate in games, activities, this year we actually have a petting zoo. So its all something new for the family to come out to."

"The Pioneer Fun Day has been a staple in the community, it has been well attended in the past. I happy to say that today is showing the same kind of pattern."

And when asked about the preparation going into the day, "We have been doing it for quite a few years, so each year we try to add something different. So that's why we have the petting zoo, its something new for the community to come out to."

It was a great day for all who attended and the petting zoo was, of course, a huge hit.
