The RCMP are continuing their search for the family of Brittany Blackwell.

Police have been trying to find her next of kin since October 23rd, 2021, when she passed away in the RM of Loon Lake. Her death was not deemed suspicious, but were looking to find them to notify the family.

"We thank members of the public for coming forward with information about Brittany. We've received approximately 16 tips to date," says Loon Lake RCMP Sgt. Earl Keewatin. "As a result of ongoing investigation by our officers, we now know that Brittany used to live in Ontario and that she changed her name from Kim Edith Avery-Yuzyk to Brittany Jayde Blackwell-Yuzyk in 2003. We are hoping his new information will help us identify and speak with members of her family."

RCMP stated it is believed Blackwell may have also had connections in the Assiniboia area, but this has not been confirmed.

No photos of Blackwell are available.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Loon Lake RCMP.
