The price of lumber in North America might be trending downwards from its mid-winter peak, but it's still far from reaching the point where people are giving it away.

The Estevan Police Service said they received a report of mischeif to property on Monday.

A tenant was burning lumber at a rental property that belonged to the landlord.

The landlord just wanted police to give the tenant a warning rather than laying criminal charges, so police attended the property and spoke to the tenant.

Police reported one other issue last night: a RID (Report an Impaired Driver) complaint. They arrived at the area but weren't able to locate the vehicle.
