The Saskatchewan Affordability Tax Credit - a $500 one-time payment - is being shipped to people who will be at least 18 years old by December 31, and who filed a 2021 tax return by October 31 as Saskatchewan residents.

The government's website says the cheques are being mailed to the addresses people provided on their 2021 tax forms. They are not using e-transfer or direct deposit.

The government says the purpose of the payments is to "help address inflationary pressures and the resulting impact on the cost of living."
