A tragic end to a search for a missing man south of Weyburn.

The RCMP issued a release late Wednesday stating a volunteer searcher found Abraham Neufeld in a remote area roughly a mile west of Bromhead.

Neufeld had gone missing Monday evening during a blizzard that blew through the area. He had been driving a tractor near Tribune when it was reported the tractor got stuck and he became disoriented while walking to his nearby residence.

His tractor had been located Tuesday morning, still running, roughly a kilometres east of Tribune.

The Weyburn RCMP detachment along with the Estevan RCMP detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Search and Rescue, Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers, Civil Air Search ad Rescue, local Ministry of Environment conservation officers, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers, Tribune Fire and Rescue and the Weyburn Fire Department all assisted in the search.
