The City of Estevan's Water Tower Rehabilitation Project is slated to begin Tuesday, and the City says you can expect to hear some extra noise in the area.

The water tower was built in 1956 and is showing fatigue.

The project is expected to cost around $1.4 million. It will include some pipe replacement, access hatch replacements, and some new walkways.

New LED lights will eventually be installed that will shine up onto the tower with various colours to match ongoing events.

And the tower will be repainted, with the quotation marks around the city's name remaining.
