The Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign kicked off for another year this afternoon.

"I think it's important to give back to the community and at Christmas time, it's a special time to do that," says Lorie Martin, a volunteer stationed at the Co-op.

The Kettle Campaign is a huge fundraiser every year for the Salvation Army, and this year the goal is $35, 000.  Kettles are set up around the clock at Walmart, No Frills, The Mall, The Co-op Food store and the Liquor Store.

"There are still a few easy shifts left open for volunteers, they can call the Salvation Army and we can let them know what is available and where," says Major Heather Harbin with the Salvation Army, "We are so grateful every year for all of the help we receive."
