Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has the highest approval rating of provincial leaders in the latest online survey conducted by the Angus Reid Institute.

Fifty-seven per cent of the province's respondents said they either approved or strongly approved of the Saskatchewan Party leader.

Manitoba's Progressive Conservative Premier Heather Stefanson was at the bottom of the list, with an approval rating of 22 per cent.

Both Saskatchewan and Manitoba have a five-per-cent margin of error, according to Angus Reid.

In Saskatchewan, 22 per cent of respondents said they strongly approve of Moe, 35 per cent approve,  11 per cent disapprove, 29 per cent strongly disapprove, and two per cent said they were unsure.

Moe had approval ratings of 51 per cent during the last two surveys (in March and June of 2022). His lowest mark was 43 per cent last September. His approval rose to 45 per cent in December of 2021.

Outgoing Alberta Premier Jason Kenney had the second-lowest approval rating of 30 per cent.

The Thursday-morning release by Angus Reid, which published the survey's results, cited $500 cheques destined for Saskatchewan residents this fall.

The survey was run Monday through Wednesday this week, and taken by what Angus Reid called a randomized sample of 3,941 Canadian adults that belong to the Angus Reid Forum.
