St. Joseph's Hospital introduces new Family Physician

St. Joseph’s Hospital is announcing the arrival of a new Family Physician, Dr. Vijay Prabhu.

He began his practice this week in Estevan at the Southeast Medical Group, located at St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Clinic. Dr. Prabhu graduated from Madras Medical College at Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Tamilnadu, India in 1995.

He is set to practice as a Family Physician with special interests in Addictions, HIV/AIDS/Hep C, as well as Palliative Care.

Dr. Prabhu practiced Family Medicine in Redvers, Saskatchewan from 2014-2022, as well as practicing in India from 1997-2013.

St. Joseph’s Hospital says they are pleased to welcome Dr. Prabhu.

Executive Director, Greg Hoffort says “Dr. Prabhu is a welcome addition to the medical staff in Estevan in terms of the family practice that will be established, and the coverage he will provide in our Emergency Room and medical ward.”
